Although the official release date of my book is, or was, May 15, 2012, it seems to be trickling out in mid-April. Yesterday I was at Coffman Union mailing books to my out-of-town parents, and stopped into the University’s excellent bookstore (where I’ll be reading May 1). I happened to be looking in the wrong section for Bob Hicok poems or a Granville Hicks anthology, and during my search noticed several (five) copies of my book on the shelf. I sensed that several of the copies had been thumbed over and admired, but that their prospective buyers were waiting till payday. Also, a few friends report that their Amazon preorders have already arrived, and Coffee House itself is selling them now. It seems, then, that folks interested in reading the book could be doing so by the weekend if not tonight.
Your book, I heard, made quite a ripple.
